The lead itself is beautifully made and just the right length, lovely feel in the hand BUT the size of the trigger clip spoils this completely. We ordered a xs collar and matching lead for our cocker spaniel and whilst the collar is fabulous once we attached the lead and went for walk the problem arose. The trigger clip is way too heavy for her when walking on a loose lead, it pulls the lead down so much so that she had to keep jumping over it. Such a shame as this makes it unusable for us unless we pay to have the lead altered and a smaller, lightweight trigger fitted. Whilst this will be fine for a big dog not suitable for small dogs in my opinion

I am sorry to hear that. I can see how for very very small dogs this may be the case particularly when walking on a collar. We do always recommend walking on a harness, which may be less of an issue, and much safer :-)
